Traditional wooden picture blocks are manufactured in Stara Paka since 1952. Company “Petr Žalský – TOPA” was founded in 1997 after it took over the production of wooden picture blocks from the TOFA company based in Semily. The manufacturing facility consists of a hall with a line for the production of wooden picture blocks from their sawing until their packaging, an outside storage area used for a natural drying of wood, four wood driers and two storehouses.

Since 10.9.2013 the company is called TOPA Toys Ltd.

Production today comprises primarily of a whole range of popular, time-tested products with traditional motives for children (fairly tales, animals etc.). Meeting the demands of the third millennium, company has been gradually introducing new motives that successfully complement, and in some cases also replace, the older ones. All cube blocks have same size (cube length = 37mm), they vary in amount; from 3x2pcs format for smallest children to large theme in a 6x5pcs format. Products are have been successfully exported into other countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, the U.S. and Japan.
