Repelenty
Prírodné repelenty fungujú na báze nosného oleja:
kokosového (Effitan, Antos),
mandľového (Tea Natura, bjobj roll on),
jojobového a hroznového (Bugsi, eco cosmetics)
alebo na báze vody a alkoholu (bjobj sprej)
zmiešaných s esenciálnymi olejmi citronely, levanduľe, pelargónie a ďalších, ktoré odpudzujú hmyz.
Neobsahujú DEET ani ďalšie chemikálie. Sú bezpečné pre pokožku aj oblečenie detí starších ako sú tri roky. Esenciálne oleje však môžu vyvolať alergickú reakciu a vždy je vhodné ich odskúšať na malom kúsku pokožky, prípadne odevu.
Používanie esenciálnych olejov nie je odporúčané pre bábätká do dvoch rokov. Tu sa odporúča ochranný odev, sieťka na kočík, levanduľový prací prostriedok, prípadne iba jemné nastriekanie odevu s uvážením rodiča.
Pri použití repelentov uprednostňujeme striekanie na oblečenie. Vždy sa vyhýbame oblastiam očí, nosa a úst.
