Ecoiffier
Jouets Ecoiffier belongs to the remaining French toy manufacturers whose business and production are made in France. Settled in the department of “Rhône Alpes” with 49 employees, the company employs more than 350 workers in its region. As a matter of fact, having all suppliers and sub-contractors within a short range strengthens Jouets Ecoiffer in terms of lead time and deliveries.
In a business where “Made in China” items is ubiquitous, Jouets Ecoiffier does its best to differentiate with a French design influenced by the latest trends, a safety conscious manufacturing process, keeping value for money in mind.
Ecoiffier was founded in 1945, by Mr. Albert Ecoiffier whose main activity was the manufacturing of shooting targets for funfairs. In 1974, his children, Jacques and Eliane, joined the company and refocused its activity on plastic toy manufacturing.
In 1994 the company was acquired by Smoby, one of the leading French toy companies, and Mr. Ecoiffier continued as the company CEO.
Later on his two daughters, Julie and Stéphanie, entered the company for Product development and Marketing.
In 2008, following the re-organization of the Smoby Group, Smoby was acquired by the Simba Dickie Group. Ecoiffier and Sons was bought back by Mr. Ecoiffier and became Jouets Ecoiffier.
In 2010, Jouets Ecoiffier inaugurated its new logistics warehouse in Veyziat (12000m²) on 6 hectares of land, dedicated to the expansion of the company.
Jouets Ecoiffier is a proud member of “Eco Emballage” and “Der Grüne Punkt” programs. The company recycles its waste, all packaging is made with recycled materials and printed with neutral ink, and last but not least using local partners improves its carbon assessment.
