Kostkamm
Following an old family tradition, the company KOST KAMM was founded in 1987 in the Franconian Rollhofen by Christine Kost. Mid-1996 the company was inherited by the next generation, the son Martin Kost, who continued the production in Windelsbach near Rothenburg ob der Tauber.
Combs were made in traditional methods of horn, bone, tortoiseshell, wood, etc. in Kamm family since the middle of the 19th century. These materials were largely obsolete by the "plastic age".
Cheap plastic combs were used decades. As the grandfather of Martin Kost mid 70 realized that there is also a health aspect of combing, he left the plastic production and started again to manufacture wooden combs. With the increased environmental and health consciousness that has evolved over the 80's and 90 years, especially in Germany, even the wooden comb emerged from its niche again and is now an integral part in well-stocked health food stores, drug stores, health food stores and barber shops.
