In September 2024, Paola Reina was awarded the A LA IGUALDAD award for “Best Toy of the Year” with this doll, which pays tribute to Dr. Pilar Mateo, who is a scientist who has developed a special magical paint that protects people from insects that transmit diseases. Pilar works around the world to stop diseases such as dengue, Chagas disease, malaria, leishmaniasis, zika and chikungunya, among others. She also teaches children and indigenous communities how to take care of their health. Pilar believes that everyone, especially children, can help change the world.
