All the feels! Soft Cuddly Friends Disney Originals Winnie the Pooh is a cheerful little companion made of cuddly soft plush who loves to play (when he’s not snacking). When he discovers honey, his round nose almost begins to tremble and his brow furrows. Measuring 29 cm tall, our blonde Winnie the Pooh is wearing a tight-fitting red jumper. The bean bags in his arms, legs and bottom allow him to sit comfortably and make him fun to touch. One look at his round eyes and it’s clear he’s got a new idea for a game. How about a little “honey accident” ... Winnie the Pooh loves to join in the fun – and he can be washed clean on a delicate cycle. What will always remain, however, is his love for your child. “How do you spell ‘Love’, Pooh?” – “You don’t spell it... you feel it!”

The teddy bear soft toy was developed apparently simultaneously by toymakers Morris Michtom in the US and Richard Steiff in Germany in the early years of the 20th century, and named after President Theodore "T.R." Roosevelt, Jr. 

The president Roosevelt refused to shoot a bear on a hunting trip in Mississippi in November 1902 and this incident became the topic of a political cartoon by Clifford Berryman in The Washington Post. Morris Michtom saw the drawing of Roosevelt and was inspired to create a new toy. He created a little stuffed bear cub and put it in his shop window with a sign that read "Teddy's bear," after sending a bear to Roosevelt and receiving permission to use his name. The toys were an immediate success and since then the Teddy bears are among the most popular gifts for children and are often given to adults to signify love, congratulations or sympathy.
