Quercetti has created an extraordinary line of products that allow you to create pictures that look just like photos, using only the famous Quercetti pegs. They come in 6 different colours and you insert them into perforated boards.

The pegs come in six colours, however when you observe from the right distance, they will blend together, as if by magic, and will be transformed into an image with thousands of new colours and nuances, as if it were a real photo. This is the same principle, known as “spatial colour mixing”, which was behind Pointillist art and dates back to the late Nineteenth Century. It is also the way that photographs are reproduced when they are printed on paper. Whether in colour or black & white, the procedure goes through the process of being broken up into a myriad of tiny pixels which are then recombined and blended together by the human eye. The assortment includes pegboards which can also be hung up on the wall just like a real painting, thanks to the included frame. Pixel Art Bank is a collection of samples to create pictures using pegs from the Quercetti Pixel Art series. All PDF files with the pattern sheets are available for free download!

The Pixel Art series comes in 3 basic formats: 4 boards, 9 boards and 16 boards. If you wish to make a picture bigger than 16 boards, all you have to do is purchase 2 or 3 boxes of 16 boards. That way you can create spectacular pictures with 32 or 48 boards!

All the samples marked with a green dot can be made with the basic Pixel Art set, while the other samples, marked with a white dot, require at least one box of extra pegs.
